“You Can’t Say You Love Me When I’m Gone”- TEARS As Beautiful Varsity Student Leaves Note, Dies After Drinking Sniper
Lagos State University currently mourns after one of its students, who was in her final year, ended her own life by drinking Sniper. The student was identified simply as Adeola.
According to an anonymous source, it was learned that the lady had been unable to pay her tuition fees, which prevented her from sitting for her final- year exams. Before her death, she had written a note on her WhatsApp status to her contacts.
The note read that if [they] loved her, they [should] let her know because they would not be able to tell her of their love for her when she [was] gone.
The incident has drawn a lot of sadness from many people online, who decried her decision to end her life instead of being strong enough to push on despite the challenges she was facing. See some opinions below:
@Julie77404609: People are wicked, if she had come to social media to beg, they will not mind her, they tell her to go and work or they will ignore her.
Most of us from a very poor background have no good job that can care for our needs. Many are surviving by the grace of God, which is not easy at all.
@josephozorjnr: Education is not compulsory, if you don’ t have the finances, you can defer your admission for a year or two and learn a skill. Who do they employ with degrees again these days?
@Nilbaromi: This is painful. I guess she didn’ t want to copy another student’ s amorous lifestyle of being a side chick or runs girl. She must have been depressed to the extent of taking herself out. God pardon her shortcomings.
@oladeji0012: The stupidity! ! ! Nowadays everyone who needs help goes on social media and gets it immediately, even those who come to lie. So why kill with sniper! ! ! There is something not right and I don’ t think it’ s just about fees.
@wumstarr: This is why people need to take care of their mental health. A lot of posters here have no clue what am talking about.
There should be educational seminars educating people on this subject but I trust my folks never to attend.
@EdoDNA: Life can be challenging for most people especially in places like Nigeria. Not everyone can handle it when it gets rough. My heart goes out to her loved ones. We should never give up. We have to be tough when the going gets rough. Life is sacred.
What is your view on the lady’ s death?
Do you believe there truly was no hope for her?
